When we put our new grass in and laid out the flower beds in the back yard; we planted a salsa garden. We have started making our own salsa- all John. He makes really good salsa, even the pickiest eater, Noah, thinks so. So, we planted tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, and accidentally bought a yellow pepper plant, so we planted that too. They are now producing veggies, not very big but we still have a small pile of tomatoes and a few jalapenos. John and the kids go out and check for rip veggies everyday. We have figured out that the rabbit in the area keeps eating the tomatoes and now grasshoppers are enjoying the garden too.
On this “harvest” the boys decided to try the jalapenos. The verdict came in they are spicy jalapenos!!
Ian, Eli, and Noah took one “lick” of the jalapeno and went running for water. Caleb takes after John and was able to take a few licks before his tongue really felt it. I wonder if the rabbit has tried the jalapenos!
