The next morning we were up early and ready to go fishing. We put on our “fishing clothes” and everyone had their hats. This was Makaela’s first time keeping a hat on for more than a second, so I wanted a picture. Noah tried to help me get her to look at the camera.
We left three kids fishing poles at Grandpa’s last year, so this year we thought we would just use those. Well, after sitting in a barn all year they weren’t in good working order. We used parts of one to get two of them to work. This caused some problems. I tried to get Eli and Makaela to share, that was interesting!
Some moments it was cute and they shared easily. Other moments it was a fight over who’s turn it was. When it was Eli’s turn Makaela would hang out on the four wheeler or with Great Grandpa.
The swing with Great Grandpa looked like more fun, when the fish weren’t biting; so Eli joined them for a while. Then Eli wanted on the floating dock to watch Noah fish. When he decided to get off by himself, he got a leg and arm in the mud. Oh Eli!
The first morning of fishing was a learning experience. We learned that kid fishing poles don’t store well in barns, boys will find the mud, and our kids can only “share” so long!
