Here are more pictures from John’s travels across Paris on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday
Below John took a picture of a lady throwing bird seed on a little girl. He said she was loving it. Not sure I would have, reminds me a little of the movie “Birds”. Then there is Le Seine.
Below are pictures of the Louvre.
They didn’t go into the Louvre, you had a minimum of a two day pass. They didn’t have that kind of time. They did walk through the Gardens. John was setting up to take the picture of the hedges, statues, and Louvre and a man decided to jump in the picture at he last minute. I thought it was pretty funny!
Daddy was missing his little girl, so he got pictures of the flowers. Also there is a picture of the Arc de Triomphe du Carroussel, it’s smaller than the other one, still looks pretty cool.
At the Obelisk of Luxor in the Place de la Concorde, John took a picture with a street performer. He said he/she looked real!
Always cool seeing a statue of St. Michael especially when it’s on the side of a building. And there is the other arc, L’ arc de Triomphe!
Sunday
The church that John went to for Palm Sunday was under ground. Here is a picture of the entrance. The stairs you see lead down to the church. When you walk in you’re upstairs, so you actually have to walk down a ramp. He said it was small, but really interesting. It was an English mass, so he could follow everything being said.
They there was more sight seeing. More Arc de Triomphe. Saturday was cloudy, but the sun came out and he was able to take some really pretty pictures.
Le Tour Eiffel, Eiffel Tower. There are a few of these throughout the day. John could see it as they walked around so he got a few different shots. I couldn’t just put one on here, there were a lot that looked pretty neat.
There was the Musee du Vin or Wine Museum. It had wax figures showing the process of making wine and drinking wine. The pictures were a little fuzzy because of the lack of light.
At museum there was a cross inside a wine bottle. Looked very delicate and awesome!
As he crossed the Champs-Elysees, John snapped a shot of the Arc. The sun also made the Seine look better too.
The backside of their Statue of Liberty. More Seine and John posing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Very proud of John for enjoying the sites in Paris. I’ve enjoyed the pictures!
Monday, Jeff and John had to pick up other coworkers at the airport and then head south. A few hours south is where they had their meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then it was back to Paris to catch a plane for home the next day!! Yeah!!!
