Eli’s large bucket of cheese puffs were the reason for opening the gifts. The gift of cheese puffs came from my sister Lauren encouraging him to ask mommy for a bucket at Target one day when we were shopping. I said no, because I really didn’t think we needed a bucket of cheese puffs. Well, at Christmas Eli got a bucket and now he was getting another for his birthday. It’s kind of funny, because he does really get excited about a large bucket of cheese puffs!!
After we finished packing lunches and such, we headed for the water park for some fun in the sun.
The water in the kids area was a little chilly at first, so we headed to the lazy river. The river was warmer and the boys enjoyed swimming/walking through it. Makaela also enjoyed being held where she could “swim”. We went back and forth from the river to the kid area. We had lunch including Eli’s cheese puffs, which was not a good idea because Eli and Makaela were COVERED in cheese. Noah, Caleb, and Rachel finally got enough courage to try out the water slides. They thought they would be able to go down a tube ride, but once they were up at the top they found out that Caleb was too short for any of the slides. Caleb came back down. Noah went down the slide he was tall enough for twice. When Rachel came down the slide, she lost a contact.
We got Rachel’s contact back in, went around the lazy river a few more times and then decided to head home. Everyone enjoyed the day at the water park and all the kids slept on the way back to the house.
After dinner, we were back outside for another round of football with Rachel and Ethan. Somehow they talked Mary Kate and I into the playing. It was Rachel, Noah, and myself against Mary, Ethan, and Caleb. Fortunately there are no pictures of that game. I found out I’m not as young as I look, but I didn’t do too bad keeping up with a 21 year old!
