My sisters came over before heading to the pool and well. The Hollywood Girls had to take a picture first! And I wonder where Makaela gets it!!
Then it was off to the pool. My Uncle Ernest did bring his boat, but we stuck to the pool. We really didn’t need the reminder we got rid of ours. During summer it is always hard when we see boats going by, it makes us wish we still had ours. But the pool was more than enough fun for the kids.
Lauren took some over to the kid pool and then took Makaela to the baby pool. I then hung out with Makaela as Lauren went and chased the other kids. Makaela loves the water! She is so funny running around playing in the water that shoots up. Then trying to swim.
The boys kept getting “big” people to take them down the water slides. Somehow there are no pictures of that. The boys that it was awesome. Eli actually told my uncle or dad (can’t remember which) they were going to slow. Noah was excited when we let him go down by himself.
My cousin, John’s daughter, Eva competed in a hula hoop contest. Isn’t she a cutie! The resort had different kinds of contests for kids of all ages. Eva was the only one I think that ever participated in one.
My dad’s new camera was water proof, so we tried to get some underwater pictures. It had a long delay, so a lot of the pictures were of the person coming out of the water. But here are a few that worked. We got Noah and my cousin John’s kids Kira, Eva, and part of Seth.
I got Ian and Caleb to pause long enough to take pictures of them. Without knowing I got a picture of my cousin John and Kira swimming. The delay on my dad’s camera really was hard to get used to.
In the big pool after lunch a big group was playing catch. “My” John would toss Noah up to try and catch the ball. My cousin, Brian did the same with Seth. Then at the other end of the pool you had a mob- Sam, his girlfriend- Sarah, David, Ethan, and Rachel trying to catch it and throw it back.
We had a lot of pool time, but as always it was never enough. When we had to head back to the villa to get ready for Mimi’s party the kids were upset. I think even the “big” kids were hard to get out of the pool!
