Aunt Rachel’s Visit

The last weekend before our trip to Lake Conroe John finished up the bookcases for my sister, Lauren.  We had talked about taking them with us, so that way we could save someone a trip. After talking to my mom and dad, my dad decided that he would just come and get them.  So, Rachel decided she would stay with us for the rest of the week.

Monday my dad, Rachel, and Ethan headed to our house.  After a flat tire, changing it, and fixing the old tire, they arrived at our house at dinner.  After dinner the kids played outside and had to show Aunt Rachel and Uncle Ethan our baby toads.

At the beginning of summer we had a herd of baby toads.  They were everywhere.  When John would mow the new grass we would shoo them out of the way of the mower, just incase.  I would try and count them as I watered the grass.  I could never keep up with how many I had and if I already counted one.  Now, it doesn’t seem to be too many and you have to really look to find any.
The boys found a few to show off with in front of the aunt and uncle.

Yes, HE LICKED THE TOAD!!!  I don’t know why, but he started a trend.  Eli decided to lick one too.

Rachel was taking pictures, so when I found out it had to stop! YUCK!!!

After we loaded up the bookcases on Tuesday and my dad and brother left, we headed to the store.  We had to grab some stuff for our trip to the lake.  The boys wanted to sit by Aunt Rachel, hold Aunt Rachel’s hand, go with Aunt Rachel, talk to Aunt Rachel, poor Aunt Rachel!  I told her that she had a great power, please use it for good!

At lunch she sat next to Ian across from Noah and Caleb.  She decided to use her power for evil and started to pretend to whisper to Ian.  Of course Ian thought he was something special, but Noah and Caleb were NOT happy!

Later that night all the boys climbed on the couch next to Aunt Rachel to watch TV.

We enjoyed her visit and she really did help out.  She has a lot of energy and can keep up with the kids!  She also was a little worn out, as she went to bed every night earlier than other 12 year old during the summer!  Love that baby sister of mine!!
