Pinterest Mother’s Day

For my mom and John’s mom I used an idea from Pinterest.  I thought it would be funny to see how the boys would answer questions about their grandmothers.  Here is the link to the original idea from thecraftingchicks.  I changed it up a little.  John’s mom goes by Granny so that was the first thing I knew I would have to change.  I took out some questions that I thought didn’t fit.  I also changed up the colors a little from what they had.  I got the chevron for the cover from another link on Pinterest.  I thought the little books turned out really cute.

Here are a few pages from the boys.  It was really funny to see their reaction to some of the questions and answers they were giving.  Also, how they would take the time to really try and think about a good answer.  Noah and Caleb really gave it a lot of thought.  I didn’t show it but Caleb came up with the answer “You kids come empty the dishwasher” for what Grandma always says.  Yes, she does have to say that a lot to my sisters and brother who have the chore of empty the dishwasher at the house.  Also Ian’s answer for Granny was also funny “Freckles get out of his face.”  Freckles is her dog and he likes to lick them in their faces, ever since Noah was a baby she has tried to break Freckles of that habit.

Since of course Makaela can’t answer questions about her grandmas she colored a heart for them.

I also had the boys think of words that made them think of their grandmas and they helped me make a Wordle with them.

I put this note in my mom’s, and changed it up of course for John’s mom.

And on the back of my mom’s I added, since there is a running joke/competition on who is Mom’s favorite- Yes, you can let everyone know, I’m still your favorite

The grandmas approved!  They loved their little notes.  My mom texted this to me
The answers were terrific!!!!  Reoccurring theme, they get too much pizza at my house.  I am really young and I can forget all about dieting!!  No Need!!

I’m sure the boys hope that doesn’t mean no more pizza at Grandma’s house! The boys will have to think about changing their answers next year to something they don’t like!!!
