Caleb’s Field Day

I was looking over the blog and I feel REALLY bad, I don’t have much about Caleb.  Not by choice.  Noah’s grade is getting to do a long more “stuff”.  Field Day for both boys was this past week and I decided to make a point to go to Caleb’s.  I didn’t go to Noah’s, but he was fine with it.

I didn’t tell Caleb we were going to go, just in case something happened and we weren’t able to.  So, when we walked into the gym where his class was playing a game; his eyes got SO big.  You could tell he wanted to jump up and run over, but he restrained himself and waved with a big smile.  Wish I caught that on film, such a wonderful smile.

We went outside for a water relay game.  The other kids in his class started chanting “Caleb, Caleb” and of course his little siblings joined in.  Makaela was a little confused when they started chanting for one of Caleb’s classmates, Noah.  She kept looking around asking “Wowah?”  It’s very funny, Caleb has a Noah in his class and Noah has a Caleb.

And here is another of my kids with his tongue out for concentration!

The container they were filling with water got pretty heavy.  They had adult help when it came to switching places with the container.  I thought that was very nice so the kids wouldn’t spill and have to start all over.  Something that will happen when we probably play this at our house (the spilling, not me helping, have to make it more fun with less kids Winking smile).

When the game was over the teachers got to spray the kiddos with water.  I know the teachers enjoyed it, but so did the kids!

The relay game is one to put on the Summer Fun list.  Pretty easy with buckets, small cups, and some kind of container.  The little ones REALLY wanted to play along, but I kept telling them we would get to play it at home.

We stayed for a little while longer.  The last game was a capture the flag.  It was a little confusing for the kids.  Even though parents were invited to play I stayed out.  That would have been a mess trying to get Ian, Eli and Makaela to play without getting hurt.

We got to say hi to Noah, since his class was outside for their bubble day.  I did let Ian and Eli run around with Noah a little, less craziness.  I talked with Noah’s teacher a little and was reminded how much I don’t miss doing al of this and working too!

Then we went back home. Caleb seemed to enjoy our visit.  I did too.  I got cute pictures of Caleb!
