Goodbye School, Hello Summer!

Today is the last day of school. We made it!  Okay, technically the boys are not off the bus, yet.  The way they talked this morning they were doing nothing at school today, so I’m counting it as done.   Summer will officially begin I guess when they step off that bus!!!

Earlier this week we went to the boys’ school for the Award Assembly.  Noah and Caleb are so different.  They both were the first in their lines sitting right in front of the stage.  Caleb sat there quietly and calmly watching everything.  Noah kept getting up and looking around, talking, probably didn’t help he was sitting next to his best friend, Graham.  They are fun and good kids.  Graham is the kid making the bunny ears on Noah.

Since today is the last day, I took pictures of the boys.  I also put in their first day of school photos, just to see the difference.  First is the serious pose.

Then the I’m too cool for school look.  LOVE Caleb's smirk in the one from today!!

Then you have Noah.  He had a fun smile at the beginning of the year.  This morning it was first a “do I have to” smile, then his “I’m too cool” look.

Then my sweet Caleb.  All the cuteness without the diva attitude.

It is crazy to think about how much they have grown and changed.  They have done really well this year and we are very proud of both of them.  Caleb is moving to First Grade and Noah is going into Second!  And I’m still stuck with Ian at home!  Winking smile

Good things to come…

We were talking about the summer and asked the boys if they were excited. Caleb said he was excited, but Noah informed us last night he wasn’t too excited. He said he was excited about our upcoming vacation, but that he would get frustrated the other days. Translation- I’m going to get bored. Yes, I have my work cut out for me, just like every parent- How to make summer enjoyable for your kids? Confused smile  I’m still positive that with everything we have already planned, they will be just fine!

So far we have-

1- Trip to San Antonio including Sea World with John’s dad and step mom.  (had to put pictures of the last time we went, I was pregnant with Ian and look how small Noah and Caleb are! Oh and for my family look how little you were, especially Bridgette!)

2- Trip to Lake Conroe for my Mimi’s 80th Birthday Party- aka Gallander reunion

3- Trip to my mom’s for the kids to stay while I get to spend time with some friends

4- Trip to John’s grandparents’ for 4th of July which I’m sure will include some fishing

And I’m sure there will be other trips to my mom’s or John’s dad’s. Or them visiting us. Then with the help of ideas from Pinterest I should keep them busy the other days!

WOW!  I’m tired already!!!!
