Before I say good-bye to 2012, here are a few pictures from the end of the year that I want to save.
Ian doesn’t take naps any more; so he uses that time to play with things that aren’t really allowed with Makaela around. Legos are one of those. They wind up everywhere if I let all the kids play with them. Makaela and even Eli still have some tendencies to put things in their mouths, so I’m still a little nervous about someone swallowing one. One trip to the ER for that is enough! Ian uses nap time as Lego time. He love building cars. The kid is car crazy! This is one of his nap time creations.
This is from before Christmas, but I came across it and thought it was funny. Makaela had been taking her babies outside and getting them dirty. She always seemed to take them out after I had all the laundry done, so if the doll got dirty which was inevitable, I couldn’t wash it until the next day. (Yes, laundry piles up that quickly around here!) This would always lead to some fit at nap time or bed time because Baby Belle is HER BABY. There are very few times since she got her for her first birthday that the two were apart. I tried to make sure that she didn’t take her outside, but it never fails she would sneak her out. This day I actually caught her trying to take her outside and was able to talk her into leaving her inside to watch. I also gave Makaela the little puppy snuggies that the boys had when they were babies and now they have become Belle’s covers that also have to go everywhere with Belle. Makaela went outside and looked through the window to make sure Belle was still there. Cinderella was another toy of the day. I decided to make sure that Makaela got an outside doll for Christmas. We got her one and so did John’s dad, so now Belle stays inside without the fight.
I guess I can say good-bye, and pray that 2013 is another blessed year.
