Family Pictures

Of course with Christmas heading our way, I started thinking about family photos for our cards.  I had been thinking of the park as a nice background for the pictures, so the last Friday in November I got the lil kids dressed up to take “mommy school” pictures. I thought we could get a “school” picture for them like they used to get when they went to daycare and we could see if we could use the park for our family photos as well. The lil’ kid pictures turned out great!

They were so cute!  It is rare for me to get them to want to take pictures, but that day they were camera hogs.  If I took a picture of one the others wanted their turn.  I think my kids also miss having a yard full of leaves, because they laid down in the leaves and kept playing in them the entire time there.

That Sunday we decided to take our family pictures before we went to Mass that night.  When we had gone to the park Friday there wasn’t anyone at the park. I guess that is a popular time because there were other people there doing the same thing and I rarely see anyone in park other than a few walkers. They looked a little more professional than we did. We used the stroller and a board to set up the camera on, then I would set the timer and run. It may not have been so professional, but I got some really family photos and that is all that matters!

It was another time when the kids were in a picture taking mood.  Noah was trying to make some fancy model poses and I had to keep telling him these are family pictures.  It didn’t take us long and we had enough pictures to pick from.  Our life may be crazy, but we are truly Blessed!
