Soccer Pictures
It was picture day for the boys in soccer! Our first game was at 9:30, so we were up way too early for me on a Saturday! It was also cloudy and looked like it could rain at any moment. We actually made it through the pictures and the games with no rain.
Today was another time where having the boys on two different teams was NOT fun. Noah had the first game, so his team took pictures and then had a game. I got the short straw had to stay with the other two while they took their pictures. I did not like hearing the cheers from the game, but not being able to see what was going on. I did sneak away because Makaela said she wanted to go to Daddy. Caleb and Ian were waiting to take the team picture, so I told them to sit and wait. I got over there as the ended the half. I did stick around until they started the second half and got one side profile picture of Noah with his faux mohawk. I went back to Caleb and Ian and got to see them take their team photo. By the time we made it back to Noah’s team he was already out of the game. John did fill me in on the highlights like Noah making 2 goals. He also showed good sportsmanship as he helped up a player on the other team that got knocked down while they were fighting for the ball. We were both proud of him. Noah's team won the game.
Then I got to watch Caleb and Ian’s game. I didn’t take many pictures. I think I had too much energy from not getting to cheer at Noah’s that I was very tuned into their game. Caleb made 1 goal and Ian had at least 2 that were sooo close! Their team won too. As always we are very proud of the way they played and they had a great time.
I think I should add about the boys’ hair. One thing we started with Caleb years ago when he first played was fixing his hair in a mohawk or spiked some how. The idea was to get him pumped for the game and maybe for a little intimidation for the other team. Well, the idea has continued with this season of soccer. We do try and do something different for Caleb and Ian since they are on the same team. It’s confusing enough trying to keep up with who is who without adding the same hairstyle too! So, this week John gave Noah and Caleb the extended mohawk and Ian got the front spiked. Stay tune for next weeks soccer hairstyles!
