Then they were off!
The arrived and had a great first day!
I bugged them with more pictures. Except I was a little upset with Noah. Caleb had looked at a marker on the bus and Noah decided to push it to his face. That’s the reason for his weird picture below. Overall they both said they had good days.
They were really living it up today, even posing before the bus got there as we watched from the porch. We had dentist appointments after school for Makaela and Noah so there are no after school pics. They did say they had a great day. So far this school year is going pretty smoothly. Oh and the dentist appointments went well. Noah didn’t have any cavities and Makaela with a fight had an x-ray taken of her mouth to show she does have teeth, they just don’t want to come up yet.
Day Three: Everyone still seems to be waking up okay. No major melt downs or anything. Makaela is about the only one that can really get in a bad mood, but that’s Makaela.
We only got one picture in before the bus was there in the morning. That afternoon while we were waiting for the boys, the little ones wanted to take pictures. So they posed like they were doing with Noah and Caleb in the morning. I tried to get Eli and Makaela to take one standing back to back, but they didn’t get it. With football coming up we had our football and slow motion running poses.
The big boys showed up and were not happy to find with the camera AGAIN. So, when I asked them to pose with “how their days were faces” this is what I got.
Day Four: OSU day! With the opening weekend of College Football mom had to do some bargaining to get the boys in Maroon for my birthday. So we had OSU day on Thursday. Again, I had the camera out that morning. I think it was getting old, but they started to have fun by the time the bus was coming. Noah and Caleb were doing their best chest bumps while waiting at the street. In the afternoon the bus driver dropped them off again when he goes by our house the first time, so I was not as prepared with the camera. Also they ran for the door and kept on running it seemed.
Last day: Friday!!! It was a good start to the last day of the first week of school. Everyone was wearing their Aggie gear and wishing mom a happy birthday. We were a little rushed for the morning picture. Makaela didn’t want to take any and the bus driver decided to pick us up first. The boys had to run to the road. I did not like that. I’m not a big fan of kids crossing in front of buses when they don’t have to. That afternoon Makaela wasn’t feeling well so the pictures were quick again.
The first week of school was over! We had all survived. Noah and Caleb are enjoying school and our morning routine as of right now seems to work and not be too crazy. I hope the rest of the year stays like this week. I know, wishful thinking.
