Student of the Week

The last day of school before Spring Break Noah brought home a note.  It explained that he would be the “Student of the Week” and gave information he needed to put on a poster to share with the class.  He has done these I think every year since he started school at Pre-K 3.  No big deal really.

Well Noah was upset!  He started handing me the note with a sad face and a very blunt and disappointed “I have homework over spring break.”  Always dramatic!  As I read the note I saw it wasn’t due to the middle of the week after spring break, plenty of time so he wouldn’t have to work on it over the break.  He was back to happy!

That week back I mentioned to him that he needed to start working on his project.  Of course he was upset, wanting to go outside with everyone else.  After explaining that we could work on it a little each night, he was okay with that.

I wanted him to do the majority of the work so he had to fill out the answers to the questions, cut out the pictures, cut out the construction paper that everything went on and glue it all on the poster.  I did help, but I tried to make sure he did the majority of it.   When we were all done he was VERY proud of his poster.

More about Noah:
My Birthday is…. Januang 6 (we found out that Dad should write out the words for spelling purposes because mom’s handwriting is too hard to read.)

I have…
3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 pet.  They are Caleb, Ian, Eli, Makaela, and Lady.

I’m happiest when….  playing my DS.

If I had a wish it would be…  play video games all the time.

(Not sure why he was stuck on the DS.  When I would ask “REALLY? That’s when you are happiest? or That’s what you would wish for?” he would the quickly switch to a family oriented answer.  I had him go for the first response, even though it makes it look like he only plays video games.  Wait, maybe that is why he said it, because he rarely gets to play his games; especially without us getting him to stop and do something else.
