Easter!

Our Easter Decorations-
Thanks to ideas and printables from Pinterest, I had a few things as decorations for Easter.  I haven’t really decorated for Easter in the past, so I started small and will I’m sure be adding more next year.

Easter Baskets-
This year the Easter bunny decided to not give candy.  I think that was a great idea, I’m usually the only one that eats it any ways.  I didn’t get pictures of the baskets, not much to see.  Their baskets were the same ones they had for a few years.  We got lucky and were able to buy two more that looked like the other three one year.  The boys got water guns, army paratroopers, movies, and action hero cups.  Makaela got a new Cabbage Patch Cutie, bracelets, water gun, and a movie.

The Bean Jar-
The Bean Jar was filled with jelly beans.  This was done by mom and dad to reward the boys for their hard work.  We explained how this is just like what happens when they go to heaven;  all the good things they do while on Earth, God will reward them for.  This is about the same level the beans were up to and the beans are a lot smaller.  Again, the boys did a great job!  I’ve tried to catch them when they are doing good deeds and let them have a few jelly beans.  If I don’t I’ll probably wind up eating all of their “rewards”.

The “nice” pictures-
We went to church and came back very hungry.  While John changed to start lunch, I tried to get a few pictures of the kiddos all dressed up.  Thanks to Papa for trying to help get them to smile at look at the camera.  I wish I would have pulled Makaela forward to show her dress more.  Just one of those things you don’t really think about because you’re to busy trying to get everyone to at least be seen and smile.  There were a few good ones, a few where they were done, and a few silly ones.

The hunt-
This year was fun, but really showed how much the kids are growing.  We had some on and off rain that morning and early afternoon.  We thought there would be no egg hunt this year and then, the sun came out to stay.  I hid the eggs the first time making two areas, one for Eli and Makaela and one for the big boys.  After that Papa, Noah, and Caleb took their turn hiding eggs.  Everyone enjoyed it.  Makaela was able to find eggs on her own and once she got the idea was running around with the no problems.  Sad to see my babies growing up on me.  I’m glad I was able to capture some moments to save for later.
