The boys driving the train, while we wait.
Makaela thinking about climbing the fence. Daddy trying to get Makaela to see Santa, she is waving; but still not sure about the guy with the beard.
As the boys walked up to Santa with no problems, John tried to get Makaela to sit in his lap for the picture. That didn’t work. Then I tried to get her to stand on the stool, something that worked when we were taking pictures in front of the Christmas tree; but not a chance. So, once again the kids’ picture with Santa turned into a family event. Since Eli didn’t seem to mind being on Santa’s lap, we are hoping next year for it to return to a normal kid picture! I thought this picture was pretty cool because we even got one of Santa’s reindeer in there with us. He looks like he was posing for the picture!
After the picture, the boys tried to remember all the things they had wanted to tell him. It was just like “A Christmas Story” where the kid goes blank. Good thing mom and dad were there to help remind the boys what they wanted.
