Silly kids

Here are a few little silly stories from the little kids.  I thank God for the smile they put on my face, because some days it is what keeps me from pulling out my hair with them!  Oh, the life of an at home mom.

January 18th Push ups…

When Noah had a friend over during the Christmas break, they talked about how he was able to shoot the basketball better. The friend informed the boys that he does pushups every night. After that the boys have been doing more pushups to build there muscles. Ian did some pushups, jumped up, grabbed the basketball and shot. The ball didn’t go into the goal. He commented “The pushups didn’t work.” We had to explain that it takes more than just a few pushups one afternoon.  He still tries doing his push ups every once in a while.

January 24th Eyes…

Eli was playing with a pair of sunglasses in the house.  He kept telling me “I flick my eyes off my hair” (to the tune of “I whip my hair back and forth”).  I kept telling him that doesn’t make sense.  He kept saying it.  I then tried to reason with him asking him where his eyes were.  He then showed me his “eyes” were his sunglasses.  So, lesson learned in three year old slang “I flick my eyes off my hair” means “I took my sunglasses off my head.”

January 28th Superheroes…

The boys were outside playing “super heroes” when Makaela decided to join them.  I went through a list of female super heroes- Black Widow, Super Girl, Bat Girl, Wonder Woman, and more Makaela repeated them as I said them.  Then I asked her “Which one are you going to be?”  She replied “a Ballerina.”

Feb 4th Baby Belle goes missing…

Baby Belle is Makaela’s favorite doll.  At nap time and bed time she is a must have.  On the 4th we couldn’t find her that night.  I told Makaela she would have to look for her the next day since after searching the house we couldn’t find her.  Thank goodness we have Big Girl Belle, I was able to get her to be okay sleeping with just her that night.  The next day we cleaned the house and looked again, no luck.  Naptime we used Big Girl Belle again.  That evening we searched again and the kids found her!  She was in the play washer that Makaela has in the playroom.  Makaela was so excited!
