This time last year life was a little stressful. I was still working, having tutorials after school twice a week, still doing lesson plans, grading papers, and all the wonderful fun stuff teachers do. On top of that, we had just put our house on the market. Thankfully, it sold very quickly; in three days! John was working and living during the week in Gainesville. He would drive back every Friday and then leave again on Sunday. My sister was staying with us to help out; thank goodness. Stress was a norm and we kept looking forward to the day when it would all be over. By the end of March last year, we had a closing date set for our house. We had to start packing, saying good-bye (the hardest part), and finding a new house.

Looking back, it was rough, but manageable. I find myself thinking back lately because things have been a little rough. I remind myself of what we have been through, and know this is not
that bad. Even our “bad” wasn’t really
that bad. We have been blessed and continue to be blessed in so many ways, that sometimes it takes looking back to remind you just how lucky you are.
