Happy Halloween

We had another fun Halloween.  The boys were overly excited with dressing up, trick or treating, getting candy, parties at school and my brother, David, coming to visit.  The excitement makes for lots of energy and never a quiet moment.  I know my brother was worn out by the time he left the next day.  Trick or Treating was also “Meet your Neighbors”.  Since we are still somewhat new, it was an easy way to introduce ourselves to all the neighbors.  They all knew exactly which house we lived at- who could miss the house with all the little kids at it!!

It is always fun as the kids get older to see how they will react to Halloween. Eli enjoyed saying "trick or treat" and roaring like a lion.  The older boys just love all the attention.  Noah enjoyed it but was ready to call it a night before the others.  He was still sore from the Race they had a school the Friday before and the walking wasn't helping.  And Makaela, well she was intrigued by the pumpkins and what people were putting in them.  It was a chore to keep her hand out while people were trying to put more in.  Also big brothers had to watch their pumpkins- Makaela wasn't picky about which pumpkin her candy came out of!

Side note:
Before we went out I sat my camera down on the back end of my truck and then forgetting about it I tried to open the back end to see if it was locked.  My camera went crashing to the ground.  Didn't think much of it since it takes a fall often; but this time I really messed it up.  A thank you to David for taking pictures despite my messed up camera.  Also wishing I could have gotten it to work so I could have some of David and the kids.  I guess David, you will have to come back next year!
